Shear Beam

UniCell Shear Beam Load Cells are built for floor scales, pallet scales, and small tank installations — a proven design that balances accuracy, load capacity, and ease of installation.

1. Shear-based sensing design

Load is measured through shear strain in the beam rather than direct compression, giving good resistance to side loads and off-center loading while maintaining stable output across the rated capacity range.

2. Construction and capacity

Available in alloy steel and stainless steel, with capacities from a few hundred kilograms up to several tons. Hermetically sealed versions are available for IP68/IP69K washdown environments and outdoor installation.

4. Selection guidance

For multi-load-cell platforms, specify matched sets from the same production batch when possible to minimize corner calibration effort. Confirm the number of load cells and mounting geometry before finalizing capacity per cell.
